Fighting for Justice in Mumbai Aug 16-26

Many of you know my passion for this country and particularly my passion for girls rescued from the perils of human sex trafficking.  I went to India two years ago to help establish partnership with an aftercare organization.  We established this partnership with the intention of opening up to 5 group homes for girls rescued with help from IJM (International Justice Mission).  The most exciting part of this work is that the group home concept allows for us to partner with the local Indian Church to help facilitate rehabilitation of these girls through the group home model.  The group homes are apartments/homes in safe neighborhoods in Mumbai and are supervised by "group home mothers" that are from the local Indian Church.  The girls are literally "mothered" into adulthood.  I have personally visited two of these homes.  I have met the girls inside.  And while they have experienced horrors beyond what we can even imagine, servicing up to 50 men a day, they are now living in safe conditions and learning trades like nursing and social work, also learning basic skills of how to take care of themselves physically, how to develop an identity within by making their own income from trades and skills that are unique to each girl.  They are learning how to trust, and how to form an identity for themselves.  The laws regarding photos of these girls are very strict and I wish so much that I could post photos of them.  The smiles, the life, the love, the BRIGHTNESS in these homes is nothing short of a miracle.  On our trip, we will be supporting the social workers that work with these girls through training and spiritual refreshment, and the highlight of the trip will be taking the girls in the homes we have established to a two day retreat where we will present talks and activities around who they are as individuals and their unique gifts and identities that God has given them.  It's just awesome.  I need your help in raising 1500$ for my trip.  I have come up with some of the funds on my own through some sacrifices we have made as a family but any extra amount would be great.  Please be sure to include an email that we can send a tax exempt reciept from Northveiw Church.  I will donate the money to Northview Church, with a list of emails/addresses from those of you who donate.  They will then send the tax exempt donation reciept.
