Mike Knox's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Mike Knox is well known to us in the fireworks community for his efforts to bring safety to the industry and has many friends from all over the world.
He brings a smile and laughter with him wherever he goes and is always ready to help others.
Mike was doing a rooftop fireworks display on New Year’s Eve in the city of Novi Sad Serbia and was in close proximity to a powerful finale cake when it exploded en masse. Even with PPE he suffered severe burns and life threatening chemical poisoning from the blast and spent 12 days in an induced coma in a hospital in Serbia. Just recently has been airlifted to a hospital near his home in Edinburgh to continue his care and start surgery for his burns.
Now we can help Mike. No one has asked for help but he is facing a long long road to recovery with significant medical expenses and loss of income.
If you are in a position to help, no matter how small, with so many friends and acquaintances from around the world it will all add up.
Let Mike and his family know that you care and want to see him back into the firework community doing what he did best, safety and making us laugh.
Background
Mike and I have been both friends and business partners for a long time and I feel privileged to be able to help in some small way at this time.
I operate a fireworks business in Canada and it is through the world of fireworks that Mike and I met.
I will withdraw the funds from the GofundMe account and will send the entire balance by Paypal direct to Mike as soon as we have clearance to do so from GoFundMe.
