Let's Get A Win for Brynn
At the end of June, Brynn Charlie Grewe (1 1/2 Years Old) was taken to the hospital after having a fever and feeling unwell. She was then taken to the Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, where it was revealed that she had a nasty bacteria infection that was overtaking her little body. She was sedated and intubated as her body and the doctors fought to get the infection under control and keep Miss Brynn alive. We are happy to share that there have been many blessings and miracles through the hands of the medical staff to help in her healing, but she will have a long road ahead. All of the effects of the infection will not be known for some time. When Brynn's body was struggling with the infection, all her blood and oxygen went to her core to save her organs, leaving her extremities to fend for themselves. This means that her hands, feet, and legs were not receiving oxygen or blood flow for a period of time. It left her hands, fingers, toes and one leg extremely dark and discolored. The amount of damage her nerves received is unknown at this point in time.
We have had so many people ask how they could help, and several that would like to contribute funds. Her parents, Brandon and Kim are so blessed to have so many caring people on their side and this is wonderful, especially because no parent should have to worry financially in this situation. As they are staying so far away from home, they are not working right now, so there will be lost wages, food costs, and of course those dreaded medical bills. We are still unsure how long Brynn will need to remain at the hospital, but it looks to be at least a month at this point in time. Brandon and Kim are not the type of people that would usually ask for assistance, and are still trying to get used to the idea of people helping them with this. We appreciate any help or support you can give and are forever thankful for everyone and their kind words and prayers. Brynn has one heck of a fan club and for that we even more blessed.
