Bryce Thomas Heckendorf
Bryce Thomas Heckendorf, at age 6 and a half months, was diagnosed with Krabbe Disease, a rare and incurable genetic disorder that falls under the umbrella of leukodystrohpy. The average life expectancy of a child diagnosed with the early infantile form is 13 months, though with proactive care, many children are living up to 5 years. This fund will help Bryce's parents, Kyle and Jenna, two public school teachers in Dodgeville, WI, with the financial support needed to be proactive about Bryce's care. This will allow them to work with a functional medicine doctor and travel to Pittsburgh to meet with a doctor who specializes in Krabbe. We want them to have every resource at their fingertips without concerns about the price tag or related expense.
