Hi family and friends! Thank you for taking the time to read our story!
As many of you know through our recent posts on Facebook, we are currently attempting to raise money to construct kennels and yards up at the farm to house our numerous foster dogs. Up until now we've been taking them into our home but it's getting a little (a lot) crowded now and we need to expand outdoors as well.
We are fostering dogs from around the DFW area and also working with an established dog rescue in the Houston/Galveston area (Mutt Mesh Animal Rescue) who's rescue facility is currently busting at the seams with dogs displaced by Hurricane Harvey. They are desperately looking for fosters who can take in dogs currently housed at their facility so that they can continue to help other dogs affected by the recent devastating hurricane and subsequent flooding. Even though the devastation is no longer on the news 24/7, the needs are still there and are very much real!
To that end, we have agreed to foster/rehabilitate/help adopt out some of their dogs in addition to the dogs that we are already fostering, so we need to quickly construct the outdoor infrastructure (kennels, yards, etc.) necessary to suitably house them. That's where you come into play!
Creating suitable living spaces for all of these doggies and keeping them fed isn't cheap unfortunately, and we don't currently have all of the necessary funds to make these needed improvements by ourselves. So, we have decided to establish this gofundme page in order to reach out to you fine folks and graciously ask for donations to help us construct these facilities.
You'll see pictures of the dog yards and dog houses that we're looking to purchase at the top of the page. We also have a lot of hidden expenses too such as food, medicine, gasoline for pickups/dropoffs/adoption events, etc.
We really want to continue to ramp up our operation and help these doggies in need but in order to do so we really need your help too! So any and all amounts are helpful and are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
