Ironman for Diabetes Research

Chances are, you know someone living with diabetes. One in three kids born after the year 2000 WILL GET DIABETES.  One in two in the case of minorities. This is a pandemic that needs to stop!

I am racing, no scratch that, I am participating in Ironman Lake Placid on Sunday July 27, 2014. A 140.6 mile swim, bike and run journey. As you may or may not know, I am also on the board of directors for the American Diabetes Association - Houston, and the co-chairman for the Tour de Cure - Houston. 

I have decided up my standard tour fundraising anty and take a giant leap, partially due to the fact that I can not ride on ride day of the Tour de Cure, but also to push myself mentally and physically using my God giving abilities in which I am so blessed to have. 

So instead of my normal fundraising routine, I have decided to put on a personal campaign as I take on the beautiful Adirondack mountains in upstate NY in July. 

My plan is to create a custom triathlon kit and include YOUR name, should you be ok with that, on it as inspiration as I swim, bike and run for 140.6 miles. Yes part of the funs will go towards the production of this kit.

I will be bringing my entire family with me on this life changing trek. I could not do this without them. CK, LK, MK - Team Kraham!
