Bryan's Medical Fund turn MEMORIAL

Donation protected
My name is Deborah Lynch Burchell, the wife of Bryan Burchell.

I am trying to raise money for my husband Bryan’s medical and rehab expenses.

Bryan suffered a stroke on 8/14/2016 which left him completely unable to move his right side and affected his vision and speech

Please donate, share, and spread the word about our campaign for my husband Bryan, we need all the help we can get at this time.

Our Story:
Sunday: We did a cooking class and on our way back, he said something is wrong , he feels different, he did not elaborate.
We got home, he ate , took his medication which was prescribed 2 weeks prior,  sat on the chair, had some water and a banana, then got on his phone.

I went about cleaning up, unpacking the bags, and showered, finally sat down to talk about the days event, but noticed he wasn't responding to me, I had to force him to respond, and when he did I could not understand what he said, so I went over to him and ask him if he was okay, he said yes, just give me five minutes, I will be fine.

Bryan attempted to get  off the chair or tried to change the settings on the fan, but could not, he almost fell over, I grabbed him and his right side felt weird, I told him I think you are having a stroke and I am calling 911, he said , no do not call 911 , I will be fine.

I said Bryan, you almost felt off the chair, he fought me about calling 911, I told him I'm taking control and calling 911 .

So happy I did not listen to him, just sorry I did not call them sooner.. But nevertheless he got to the hospital just in the nick of time to stop another stroke which would have done more damage to the brain.
We spend 8 hours in the emergency room with the neuro team running test and asking questions

It's now early Monday morning and Bryan was assigned a room on the stroke unit, he was confused, I held his hand and spoke to him reassuring him , he will be fine, he had a stroke and he is in the hospital.  The nurses did their jobs, he got comfortable and went to sleep, I sat on the chair next to the bed and watched him sleep. I did not want to leave his side. I finally left the hospital around  6:30am.
Bryan was hospitalized for 4 days while the medical team was trying to figure out what caused the stroke in the first place,  nothing has been confirmed, but the stroke was caused by a blood clot on the back of the brain.

Thursday Night:
Bryan was transported by ambulance to the rehabilation center to start his long recovery process .
I know that Bryan will fight back, but the road to recovery will undoubtedly be hard and long.
He will have to learn how to  stand and walk again.

Bryan has always taken good care of himself, but unfortunately there is no way to plan for something as unexpected and debilitating as this.

An event like this is having a tremendous impact on our finances. Though Bryan himself would never ask for assistance, I want to make sure that he can focus on his recovery and not have to worry about the large financial burden as he spends the coming months recovering.

Expenses will mount quickly and costs for medical care, travel and living expenses are exorbitant.

Insurance is only covering so much.

I urge you to keep praying and promoting this fund page as much as you can. Please help me and my family in this most difficult times. I need to get my husband safe back home. Thank You!

Bryan is a wonderful husband, son, step father,  brother, uncle and cousin, along with being a wonderful friend to so many people, online and off . He has always been very generous and I know that Bryan  would do this for me or any of his friends  in a heartbeat, which is why I am doing this for him.

Contributions of any amount would be greatly appreciated to help Bryan get back on his feet and back to doing what he love as quickly as possible!

I will keep everyone updated on his recovery.

Sorry if I have errors in this, but I will fix as I come across them, I can't focus 100% right now, and sorry for the long story.
