Bryan Fields Funeral and Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Bryan has been fighting cancer since 2015. He had his second cancer in 2017, and his final cancer, grade 4 Glioblastoma (brain cancer), in 2019. He passed away on 9/11/2019 at 11:07pm.

The first cancer took most of his speech and the ability to eat. The second cancer made the speech even worse. Radiation therapy left sores in his mouth that would never heal. Bryan was a man that loved to cook. Even after he lost his ability to eat (except formula through a g-tube) he would still sometimes cook for me. The last thing I remember him making me was b'stella. He was an excellent cook - ask anyone. Cancer kept taking him away bit by bit, but he continued his writing until the seizure on May 10th this year that revealed that damn brain tumor. When I was able to get into his laptop, it was still open to his final book. He was getting it ready to publish. Bryan had so much to offer as a husband and father, and so many more stories to tell, and because of cancer, it's all gone.

I hate to write asking for help with funding, but Bryan didn't leave us with any backup. He'd cashed out various retirements in the lean years when he couldn't get a permanent position, and he's been on full disability (which is not full pay) since 1/1/2018.

Bryan at one point had life insurance through the his job at the state, but only because it didn't require a physical. He couldn't qualify for any life insurance after he want on disability because they don't give life insurance to people with cancer.

We are still finding unpaid medical bills from his second round of cancer that he was making payments on. We have had thousands in medical bills on this final round of cancer, even though we were supposedly at our out of pocket maximum - except the hospital used doctors that were out of network.

We will be losing his disability income which helped cover our normal living expenses, and now we have his cremation and funeral service to pay for.

Right now I'm setting up medical payment plans, and will need to pay for the other expenses on credit.

Any donation is greatly appreciated. I know Bryan touched many lives and had so many friends. If you can't give, I understand. I know it doesn't mean you love him any less.

Thank you for whatever you may be able to give,

Love, Noelle and Alissa
