Bruce-a-Palooza
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Bruce’s Sister and as a thank you, for all my Brother Bruce Leperre’s tireless contributions to the Canadian music world via his broadcasting role, his promotions, his volunteer contributions, band management, his journalism efforts, and even his ‘music man’ functions and so much more, as part of the Bruce-a-Palooza event, I’m creating this fund raiser. At the age of 57, Bruce was diagnosed with Dementia / Alzheimer’s and has been on minimal disability income ever since. He is still young and lives at home with his beloved pets. Although a PCH may be inevitable, the current goal is to keep him comfortable at home with 24/7 home care. The cost of this is partially covered by the MB government but it is not sufficient to cover all of his expenses. Bruce never married or had any children of his own. His family and his world have become very small and the desire is to give him as much quality of life, as possible, with the rapid decline of this horrific illness. Any funds remaining, after they are no longer required, by Bruce, will be utilized as a scholarship for high school graduates in the local area, wishing to go into the world of music, broadcasting, or some form of the arts. If Bruce was able, I guarantee you, he would still be out there, promoting your event, your music, and guiding you as best as he could, in the only role he ever loved. Thank you all, for caring, and everything you do to show your thanks, if he helped you, at one point! It is all very much appreciated by Bruce and myself. There is absolutely no pressure for anyone to contribute, but either way, thank you for caring!
