Brooklyn Pet Food Pantry - Covid19 Crisis Relief

Hello! My name is Margo, I was born and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. If you know me.. then you know my love for animals runs deep, and helping pets is my passion. For 25 years I have worked in the pet industry and recently opened a natural pet shop in Bay Ridge. The good people of my community and surrounding neighborhoods are really in crisis as a result of Covid 19. Due to the rising unemployment rate and financial hardships there is a huge demand for temporary assistance with pet food. As this pandemic moves forward, pet parents are facing increased rates of pet food insecurity. It's important the community has a charitable place to turn to for pet food, this critical assistance can help prevent people from surrendering their beloved pets. Pets are family! Having to choose between feeding your family or pet, creates more stress, anxiety and depression in this time of need.  I have tapped into my pet  resources and am able to provide free dog and cat food right now. Unfortunately when that runs out, I will have to purchase more food to keep the pantry active. In order to continue supporting pet parents through this difficult time, we are asking for donations. Thankfully, I can order food at wholesale prices, which will stretch any donations a bit further. Your support is greatly appreciated, financial donations of any size will help keep the pantry operating. Currently we are distributing premade bags of dog/cat food twice a week in front of the shop.
