Brooke's Battle with Cancer

On November 11, 2016, Brooke Yeager was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer – Ductile Carcinoma Hormonal Triple Negative. Brooke discovered a lump while breastfeeding and thought it was a clogged milk duct. Brooke is 35 years old and the mother of three young children, ages 5, 2½ and 1 years old.
Brooke began her chemotherapy treatments on the day after Thanksgiving and will continue treatments every two weeks for 4 months.
Brooke is a hair stylist and as of yesterday (January 14, 2017), she is unable to stay on her feet all day. When she got home she was running a high fever. She went to the ER to get her white blood cell count checked, which was low. She was admitted to the hospital and is getting antibiotics (she will receive 3 treatments in total).
Brooke’s high deductible health insurance will not cover all of Brooke’s medical bills and because of the timing of her diagnosis, she has the 2016 and 2017 deductibles to pay, in addition to coinsurance for every treatment and visit.
We’ve set up this page to help Brooke and her family with immediate healthcare costs and to subsidize her lost income.
