Hello, everyone.  I really appreciate you taking the time to read about our situation.  As a lot of you know, we have been dealing with medical issues and bills for quite some time.  In 2013, I became seriously ill.  I had to go on medical leave, and eventually had to leave my job of 14 years.  It was devastating for me, but absolutely necessary.

Due to my depleted immune system, chronic sinus infections, and chronic fatigue, I saw a number of specialists and had to undergo expensive infusions of antibodies to try to boost my immune system.

This left us with thousands of dollars of medical debt and me unable to work.

About a year after I had to go on medical leave, and once I was starting to feel better and regain the ability to function, I found out I was pregnant!  Fabulous news, but also worrisome due to outstanding medical bills and anticipated ones!

In 2015, our amazing baby girl was born!  But of course, we couldn't do it the quick and easy way!  I was in labor with her for about 27 hours (meaning an automatic 3 day stay in the hospital for us), and then of course on the day we were scheduled to leave, my blood pressure went berzerk, so we had one more day in the hospital!!

All of this left us with the most incredible human ever, and thousands of dollars in new medical debt.

Since then we have had to deal with an emergency room visit for mastitis (as well as PT for that), a couple of emergency room visits for Zoe,

a few urgent care visits for me due to ongoing issues with my health (as well as a couple of accidents), an emergency room visit for my kidney infection/stones, two surgeries for the kidney infection/stones, and a night in the hospital after the first surgery.

Unfortunately, my conditions warrant fairly regular check-ins and tests, so my treatment is ongoing.

I am working part-time, as much as I can, while also being a stay-at-home mom.  We have been paying off medical debt for so long, and we are now at a point where it is unmanageable and causing enormous financial difficulties for us.  I went back and forth, and back and forth, trying to decide whether or not to set up a gofundme.  Finally,  I figured - what could it hurt?  If people roll their eyes at me, thats fine, but if we get some help that we desperately need, then it is worth it - especially for this little one.

We need money NOW - this debt is impacting all aspects of our life (one account is in collection) and our ability to really thrive.  I know we are not the only ones in bad shape, and I know compared to some we are in good shape, but in my heart and soul, I still need to put out this request for help.  One of the things that I did during my initial period of illness (chronic fatigue, sinus infections, etc.) was to make paracord bracelets, lanyards, and keychains.  Each person who donates will get one of these as a laughably small token of thanks for your generosity.

Again, I thank you for hearing my story.  I just want to help our family get back on our feet and provide some more stability and peace of mind.  Sending all of you love, hugs, and lots of thanks.
