Wonderful Humans,
On behalf of Jorge and the rest of our family, I want to thank you once more for your love, your support, and contributions. This campaign was intended to provide assistance for Cece's funeral arrangements and whatever was around the corner during a time of immense pain and uncertainty for us all while Jorge remained in the hospital at Juliana's beside. I thank you all again for being a part of our family like this and alleviating for Jorge at least one aspect of the many hard things he had to face and will continue to. Cece's services were beautiful and everything she deserved - adorned with purple and pink flowers and unicorns, representing everything she was. Pure, innocent, magical, and divine. As we have the services behind us and the medical outlook for Juliana continues to improve, the time is right to wrap up this campaign. I pray that your contributions are returned to you tenfold in karma or however you so desire. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Early in the morning on December 10, 2021, Jorge Brizuela's daughters Juliana (age 9) and Cece (age 8) were fast asleep at their mother’s home where they were spending the night when it caught ablaze in a fire that ripped through the home in mere minutes. While the mother, another adult in the home, and Juliana managed to escape the burning building with injuries, despite firefighters' best efforts to reach Cece on the second floor, Jorge's youngest tiny dancer did not escape the fire. We are beyond devastated and ask that you hold Jorge and the families in your prayers. Juliana was rushed to the Burn Intensive Care Unit where she remains in critical but stable condition. This is an incredibly difficult time for both parents and our whole family, and we know only the start to a long road to recovery. While Jorge remains bedside caring for his oldest child, we humbly ask for our community's support in helping to take at least one burden off of his plate so that he can continue to dedicate his time and efforts to his, and his daughter's healing. There are no words to describe the pain we are enduring and the hole that has been left in our hearts, forever impressed by our sweet, silly, sensitive, and beautiful Cece. Please keep Jorge and our family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate grief, and new challenges ahead.
