Brittany Hastings was hired with the RM of Prince Albert in May of 2018 as an office assistant. A year later, having learned what an amazing worker she was, she was promoted to the Assistant Administrator. Brittney started taking the LGA courses and began building herself a career in municipal administration.
In December of 2019, Brittany was rushed to the Victoria Hospital by ambulance with excruciating pain in her back. The doctors later determined that she had developed stage 4 metastatic breast cancer which has spread to her spine.
She was then transferred to the RUH in Saskatoon to undergo Radiation and Chemotherapy. She has completed the radiation treatments but is still undergoing chemotherapy which she will be doing for the next 20 weeks.
Brittany is 26 years old with the sweetest 4 year old son.
