British Downhill Racing Team to World Championship

This fundraiser is to send the UK's best 6 Downhill Skaters and 3 Streetluge racers to the DownhillWorld Championships being held at World Roller Games in Barcelona, Spain.
In the world of downhill racing being included in World Skate's World Roller Games is a huge step forward for the sport, with the event being a showcase to the International Olympic Committee.
The downhill skateboarding team is solid and consistent with many years of experience between them, many of the racers have preformed at world cup level travelling all across Europe and the world. The selection has been made on the rider's British Downhill Skateboarding League (BDSL) or International Downhill Federation ranking (IDF). The Downhill Skateboarding team is:
Aaron Skippings -British record is Aaron Skippings reaching a speed of 126.16kmh (78mph)
Oscar Taylor - 2018 ranked 4th in the BDSL
Ben Stainer - International racer and trained in the USA for a year
Louis Smallwood - 2018 ranked 6th in the BDSL
Jonny Braund - 2017 BDSL Champion
Oliver Slaughter - 10 years of international racing experience
The UK has always produced strong international competitors with the UK winning 2 World Cup series in the past as well as recently taking second place in the 2018 World Cup series.
Will Stephenson - 2017 World Number 3 and 2018 World Number 2
Gareth Chamberlain - 2017 and 2018 BDSL Champion
Ell Macey - 2018 3rd place in BDSL
The funding will go towards covering the cost of travelling, accommodation, entry fees, protective gear and equipment of each racer and the total amount raised will be evenly distributed across the team.
