Bring Jennifer Home

UPDATE: Thanks to all your generous donations, we have flown Jennifer back to Seattle. Her journey is far from over though. After a difficult week for everyone, Jennifer has made the decision to enter treatment. With a large chunk of donations left over after expenses of flying her home, we still need quite a bit more to get her into Residence 12. This is an all women's facility, close by, that not only deals with substance abuse treatment but with mental health care, which is very important. I have added to our goal to reflect what we need to get her in this weekend. While we very much need and appreciate (more than words can ever say) any kind of donation, I also want to express how valuable your prayers, love and support are. I truly believe they are equally, if not more, important. We will continue to update with progress!

My beautiful twin sister, Jennifer was once the best friend and best mother in the world. That is, until she fell victim to the horrific disease of addiction to meth. The woman who was once so influential and loving to her three little boys (ages 5, 4 and 2), now hardly knows them and is missing out on watching them grow. The woman who was once my other half, partner in crime and soul mate is a stranger and my heart is incomplete without her, as are the hearts of our mother and her baby boys.

I am asking for money to help bring her home. She has moved far away and my mom and I would like to go to where she is and do what we can to get her on a plane home. I feel that once we get her away from the immediate influences we can ask her to enter treatment and begin to help her rebuild her life and become a mother again to her boys that need her so much.


Also to note, I am a recovering addict (I have been clean for two years, 9 months and 18 days as of today Oct. 22). I know more than anyone that a person has to be ready before they can be helped. Jennifer expressed desire to get clean and stated that as her reason for moving away. As expected though, it did not work, she is still using, and is now physically so far out of our reach and not just a car ride away.


I love her and my nephews with all my heart and need a little help getting to her. The money will be used for plane tickets (for my mom and I) to where she is, and return flights for the three of us, God willing. However, if she happens to choose to not come home, the leftover money will be saved so that if she does at some point choose to return, we will be able to get her home immediately.
