Bringing Baltimore Backpacks

We are called Bringing Baltimore Backpacks and we are five students from Medford High School engaging in a service learning project. We are on a mission to deliver school supplies to the Baltimore youth, a group in which there is minimal funding given to directly benefit students. We hope to personally supply school supplies to Frederick Elementary School in Baltimore, Maryland. A fundraising goal of $5,000  would be enough money to fund both the purchasing of the supplies, as well as the costs of transporting the materials to Frederick Elementary School in a moving truck. Baltimore is known to have poorly funded education programs, and this leads to poor performance among the city's students, which is no fault of their own. For example, only two-thirds of students in Baltimore graduate from the public school program. Additionally, 83.5% of students in Baltimore Public Schools are on a free or reduced lunch program, meaning the vast majority struggle to pay for their everyday goods. Any donation to our project would be much appreciated, and we hope you can see the same importance in this topic that we do.
