Deviant Productions seeks to bring the CNY arts community together by providing performers and visual artists the opportunity to collaborate with a grassroots, underground artistic vibe, and by providing our arts community with authentic avenues for expression.

These funds aim to support Deviant Production’s next immersive dance and art experience, entitled “Under the Umbrella”, on June 2 and 3, 2023 in Syracuse, NY.

- the building blocks that help grow and support the performing arts industry in CNY and aim to recognize Syracuse as a relevant artistic destination.

What will these funds be used for?

These funds will help buy the materials needed to transform our venue into a full-room art installation. This installation is essentially a massive set, a wondrous ecosystem of earthy, lush imagery, drawn from a retro culture engulfed by the landscape. This whimsical world is animated by dancers and performers to create a space where the audience has the opportunity to view performance and visual art in a unique, and personable way. Our construction timeline for this installation is 3 months. Your contribution can help jumpstart this elaborate process and bring this installation to life.

“Under the Umbrella”, is a retro-whimsical wonderland experience, where classic songs are re-imagined, and reality is altered. Audience members exist within this creative realm, surrounded by performers, to experience dance & art that activates all five senses. This production will launch the use of a NEW event space, owned and operated by Abigail Henson, a local food mastermind, in downtown Syracuse. More info coming soon…
