Finish Homeless Statue to Help Them

House the Homeless, Inc. has been working for 4 years to put a positive face on people experiencing homelessness by  creating The Home Coming statue,
which will be a life-sized set of statues like the minatures above, sculpted by Timothy P. Schmalz, (https://www.sculpturebytps.com/) considered to be the Michelangelo of our times.  These figures and their back-stories will educate observers about some of the most shocking and concerning statistics about people experiencing homelessness across the United States.

*1/3 of the homeless are U.S. Veterans.

*Unbelievably, the average age of a person
experiencing homelessness is 9 years old with 1
               million homeless children.

             *African Americans are disproportionately
represented in the homeless population (40%,
compared to 11% of the general population).

*47% of people experiencing homelessness are so
disabled that they are unable to work.

Through amazing volunteer efforts and generous donations large and small, we have raised $81,000 for this project and have a match of $9,500 (of the remaining $19,000 needed) to bring this project home.  So, for every dollar you give, it will be doubled! That means that it could carry you to the next level of public recognition!

Please help us finish the fund-raising, so we can site The Home Coming statue, which will be an informational sign-post that through a QR-code will connect viewers of the sculptures to Community First!Village (http://mlf.org/community-first/),
and how the people of Austin/Travis County take care of our disabled people who are experiencing homelessness (a national model).
