We teach at Exceed Charter School which is located in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. We are kindergarten teachers working within an amazing community, in a time full of change. We are asking for help to keep our classroom up to date with the current technology standards. Most schools across the country, and within our city, have access to computers, laptops, ipads, and smart boards. We are currently teaching in classrooms that are lacking in all of those areas. The lack of technology accessible to our students puts them at a disadvantage for what will be a future heavily reliant on knowledge in this area. We believe that every student should have access to all the means neccessary to reach their full potential. This technology will provide students with access to practice in various literacy and math based curricula. Many of the educational apps available are grounded in the common core standards, and helps to provide students with accountable, independent learning.
