Bring Diane's Children to Safety
Last year I fled persecution in Cameroon for my sexual orientation. I had been arrested twice, disowned by my family. The last straw was when my husband found out my secret and threw me and my children out of the house. I was receiving death threats by text and email. Not knowing what else to do, I left my children with a friend and fled to the U.S. People continue to look for me, though, and broke into my friend's house and threatened my children. Finally, I have gotten authorization for my children to come join me, but I don't have the money to get them here. Although I have a law degree in Cameroon, my English skills are still limited, and I am working as a housekeeper at a hotel in Washington, DC. I am seeking money for their plane tickets to the U.S. and to buy them clothes to get them started in school here. Thank you for any help you can give!
