Bring Brian Fitz-Gerald Home
Donation protected
Many people know about the death of Brian Fitz-Gerald on the 02/02/18 however most are unaware that he was on holiday in Thailand at the time of his passing. Having already begun the process for his repatriation back to the UK, we found out today that his insurance is void as he missed his initial flight home on the 11/01/18 due to his state of mind at the time. This now means that his wife Ellen and family have his medical bills and repatriation costs on top of the cost of the funeral.
As everyone is aware, Ellen, Brian's loving and devoted wife of 48 years is a devout Christian and therefore having a burial in his home country is incredibly important to her and her health. Not only this but Brian's wish was to be buried in Shornecliffe with his Brothers in Arms as this is where he finished his 23 year Military career.
The cost of bringing Brian home is just short of £5000. We are aware that this is a lot to ask however we were unaware of the extra cost at such short notice and therefore any help will be greatly appreciated. Any additional money raised will be put towards the cost of his Regimental Headstone.
Once again we are incredibly appreciative of any help however big or small. Dates for the funeral cannot be confirmed until Brian is back home. RIP Farmers Boy.
