Bring Bharathi to the US!

We met Bharati back in 2009 when she was working at the Sharadharam Hotel in Chidambaram. At that time, we hired her to help wrap our group of Western pilgrim women in saris so that we could be appropriately dressed for temple.  Though she had recently lost her job as an engineer, this talented and ambitious woman would not be held back. She wanted to create a new career in the travel and tourism industry, and with much persistence, that's exactly what she has done. She has been an integral part of our tours for the last 8 years and we could not do them without her hard work an assistance. Since her father died in 2016, she has been the primary provider for her mother and sisters. She is a devotee of the goddess and takes the lead as our guide on our Rajanaka Pilgrimages.

Bharathi has had a strong desire to visit the United States ever since we met her, but with the challenges of supporting her family in Tamil Nadu, it has remained a dream. We would love your help in bringing her here for a visit this year so we can show her the warmth and hospitality that she so graciously extends to us on our every visit. 

Any amount you are able to give would be so appreciated. Your help will pay for her Visa, plane ticket and other travel expenses. It is our goal to bring her here by August 2018. I will be buying her plane tickets, will be sending her money via Xoom to get her visa in order and give her the balance directly when she arrives to use for expenses while here. Any extra money she can take back to India to support her mom and her sister.  Thank you all so much!
