Brigitte and Nugget's Fund

Brigitte was diagnosed with cancer as a young highschooler.  Shortly after that, she got Nugget, a spunky corgi with the most expressive face.  Brigitte quickly healed with Nugget by her side, emotionally and physically.  He took her through so many dark times.

Monday, Nugget was rushed to the animal hospital where a mass the size of his entire torso had taken over his tiny body and pushed his organs to the top his spine.  They found cancerous nodules in his spleen.  The doctor's successfully removed the mass, but as an 11 year old dog, Nugget took for a turn for the worse a couple days later and passed due to aspiration pneumonia.

This couldn't come at a worse time for Brigitte.  Her contract position recently ended, and a month later came home to a notice on her door stating she needed to move in 60 days so they could renovate her apartment.

Her life seems to be a bit of a country song these days, the vet bills climbed to $15,000.  While she is consistently looking for work, nothing has turned up quite yet, and needs to move by Sept 1.

Nugget was more than a dog or pet to Brigitte, he carried her through an extremely difficult time when she overcame cancer.  

Brigitte is the most loyal friend I have.  She shows up no questions asked.  She maintains a positive attitude and is only interested in helping others.  She's gone through this ordeal with nothing less than a smile on her face.  Her attitude is always positive and she is always willing to see the good in every situation.
