My name is Seán Kilbride and I am cycling from Mizen to Malin to mark my 70th birthday and to raise funds for two community projects in my area in County Roscommon.

The first project is a development project in St. Brigid's GAA club, of which I am a proud member.   The project includes a major renovation of our clubhouse and a new building to house a gym and community room. The latter will provide club members and the wider community  with an additional facility for team & community group meetings and for social gatherings. The gym will add another dimension to our fitness-related facilities for both our football teams and the local community. Please see our attached video and photos for further details of the project.

The second project is the Kiltoom Sensory Garden and Carpark project, which is designed to provide a nature reserve amenity area based on the sensory experiences of colour, sound, touch,  taste and aroma. It will incorporate information plaques, pathways and seating where young and old can enjoy quiet moments in communion with nature. The garden will be an oasis of calm in times of stress and especially for those on the autism spectrum.

Both projects are being partially funded by Leader Partnership, but both organising committees have to provide considerable funds from their own resources.

In these difficult times, any contribution, big or small, will be welcome and greatly appreciated.

Thank You,
Sean
