Since March 17th, our doors have been closed due to the severity of the COVID-19 coronavirus. Early in the crisis, our team chose safety over style, and put all services on pause until it is safe to reopen. We understand this may be one of many funds you are being asked to partake in, but we feel it's the right thing to do for our staff.
Our barbershop is built on inclusiveness and individuality, regardless of lifestyle. We are more than a place to get a great fade or shave. We are purveyors of confidence, identity and style for many people that don't feel comfortable in a typical shop. We understand the responsibility and the privilege of providing services that influence how people feel about themselves -each and every day. As a newer business, many of our barbers took a huge leap joining our shop and we are so proud of what we have created.
Our company philosophy is to harvest a culture of personal respect and professional growth for each member of our team. Unfortunately, prioritizing the safety of our guests and staff means zero income for our wonderful team.
We know that, “this too shall pass”, but it doesn't alleviate the financial stresses so many people, including our staff, are facing right now. We are ready to get back to doing what we love as soon as it is safe to do so.
This fund is for our employees. Our business will find other means to pay the bills and keep the shop alive. But we are asking for any help to keep our amazing team members afloat until this passes.
HOW THIS WORKS:
1) Anonymous Donation: All funds raised will be distributed to ALL employees in equal share.
2) Name Your Barber: In the comments after you donate, name your barber of choice and we will give them the money. Feel free to leave a note for them as well.
3) Pre-Fund Your Haircuts: In the comments after you donate, tell us how much of your donation you would like as a credit towards future haircuts (like a giftcard). Any percentage or amount up to 50% of the donation. The rest will go to the barber of choice or equally split if no barber is mentioned.
We are asking anyone who can support the employees of Brightside Barber to help in any way they can.
