Anyone that has been fortunate enough to know my mom knows how amazing of a person she is. She has worked very hard all her life to support her family. She would do any and everything she had to to make sure my sister, brother, and I had everything we needed. Sometimes working multiple jobs at a time. She loves hard, works hard, and would do anything for anyone that was in need. She is a very loving, supportive mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to so many.
On July 18th 2021 she was admitted into the ER for severe abdominal and back pain. They immediately gave her a CT scan to find the problem. The news was devastating. We found out she has pancreatic cancer and it has possibly spread. We are still in the process of finding out exactly how far it has spread and what stage it is at. She has undergone multiple biopsies, had a port put in, and is starting chemo on august 24th 2021.
Unfortunately she did not have insurance when this all started and bills started to pile up quickly. She has it now but unfortunately not everything is covered. She is not able to work and worries how she is going to take care of things.
Now it is our turn to return the favor and help take care of our mother. My Sister Bonita, brother Kyle, and I are asking for help with financial costs to help alleviate some of the stress during this hard time. If we can't take away the stressors of this diagnosis and her treatment, we can at least try to ease the financial stressors that have already begun so she can focus better on her battle!
