BRIAN BOSKIND FUND

OUR FRIEND, BRIAN BOSKIND HAS HAD A DEVASTATING YEAR.
On May 30, 2017, he was just out walking the dog when, out of the blue, a major bone in his foot snapped- it was the calcaneus bone, which is normally a “high impact” bone,  and it broke just from taking a step. His doctors are still trying to find out what brought on such a major devastating break. It was a frightening diagnosis where the doctors initially required him to stay off his foot, with no pressure on it at all, for over five months.
This life changing diagnosis totally took away Brian's ability to do able-bodied work. However, this period of recovery has taken much longer than the initial five months. Plus, other health issues have come up. Not to go into to much detail but they've resulted in procedures like cystoscopy, colonoscopy, and endoscopy, and biopsies. And they still don't know what caused the break. Brian  wants nothing more than to get back to  work, and his normal life, but all this has made it impossible until now.
As many of you know, Brian is an amazing photographer and illustrator, if you’ve been on his fb page, you have seen his work.  At the time of the accident, he had been working towards a major goal of going full time as a photographer.  All his energy was going into working and saving... so he could replace his beloved Canon 70D work camera which had been stolen months earlier.  Then, to add to it all, just days before the foot injury, his car developed major issues and died. He was not permitted to drive all those months so it is just now, as he heals, becoming a pressing issue.  All this combined with the fact that Brian now has to move. It would be a lot to deal with even when healthy.
He has a possible temporary place to stay while, literally, getting back on his feet. But he still needs to come up with first and last for his own place, needs to move his things and put them in storage, etc.
The good news is, he’s finally able to walk, with difficulty, but it is still a long road of physical therapy.

Though he is, as most of us are, reluctant to ask for help… sometimes you just need to reach out to your friends.
This perfect storm of events have been as devastating to his life as a natural disaster or major illness and Brian wants nothing more than to get back to self-sufficiency and move forward with his life.

If you can do anything to help it would be greatly appreciated.  Please feel free to send this GoFundMe Campaign to anyone you think might interested. Especially friends who might not be on Facebook.
Lets get Brian back on his feet.

THANK YOU, EVERYONE!
