BREWS & BUDS - World Animal Day (and the month of October)
There is nothing like sharing a brew with your best bud …. the four legged kind that is! And while your bud has you to hang with, hundreds of our other buds aren't so lucky – and that’s where Animal Welfare League Queensland come in.
We have rehomed more than 168,000 animals since being founded in 1959, and have saved many thousands more through their community programs. What’s more, AWLQ goes the extra mile to help our buds and promise to never euthanise a healthy, social or treatable animal in their care. We have a soft spot for BUDS (big ugly dogs) and have a dedicated team who help these lovable larrikins that might otherwise struggle to find a home due to being a bit too cheeky.
Black Hops Brewery are all a bit dog-mad, and community is something they value very highly. So, when the team at Black Hops heard about the incredible lifesaving work AWLQ does they knew they wanted to help! Cheers to that!
We’re teaming up with Black Hops to celebrate World Animal Day by raising funds for our lovable BUDS throughout October. We’re hoping you might be keen to get on board and help AWLQ to raise $120,000.00 so we can keep our promise.
To kick things off, join us for the launch of BREWS and BUDS on Saturday 3 October 2020 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Black Hops HQ Burleigh Heads or Black Hops II Biggera Waters, both venues are pet friendly, and have a BREW from one of the karma kegs to help the BUDS. AWLQ will be there with some BUDS (the four legged kind) and there will be raffles and giveaways. We hope you see you there!
