Donate to Help Brett Lemke Fight Cancer!

Kara Pavkovich (sister) is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Brett Lemke. Brett Lemke was diagnosed on Thursday, June 23rd with Stage 4 Lung and Bone Cancer.

Brett was being treated for a shoulder injury caused from weight lifting. One of the scans revealed a spot in his lung. When he went for further testing, the doctor confirmed there was a 5cm mass in his right lung. The morning of June 23rd the oncologist diagnosed Brett with lung cancer and that it had spread to his bones.

As Brett was trying to make sense of what was happening, he got a call from the doctor later that day. He was told his blood work came back and to get to the ER immediately! Brett’s kidney’s were at dangerous levels. He was quickly admitted to the ICU. The doctors and nurses have been working around the clock to save his kidneys. During this time, his pain in his bones from the cancer grew to excruciating levels setting Brett into tremors. He also struggled to breathe from the large mass in his chest.

Brett Lemke is still currently fighting at the hospital. The nurses and doctors are still trying to control his pain, breathing, and his kidney levels before they can discharge him. Brett got a second biopsy of his lung this morning- a CT scan. We are currently waiting for the results so Brett can start Chemo and Radiation.

Brett is only 33 years old and is going to fight his hardest battle he has ever had to. He is going to accumulate a ton of medical bills during this battle such as- from the hospital stays, doctor visits, chemotherapy, radiation, scans, and the multiple blood tests.
