Brett Battles Ewing Sarcoma

When Brett Wright began complaining of bone pain, his parents took him to the doctor to see if it was cause for concern. At this appointment, it was decided that a biopsy would be neccessary. On September 15th, 2017, the call came that the biopsy done on Brett was positive for Ewing Sarcoma.
Ewing Sarcoma is a form of cancer found in the bone or soft tissue. This form of cancer is rare and typically affects children and teenagers. Ewing Sarcoma is so rare in fact, that Brett is one of few teens in Kansas affected by the disease.
Brett's treatment will consist of 17 cycles of chemotherapy. As most people know, chemotherapy can be an incredibly straining process. Brett has already lost hair and becomes physically ill after his treatments.
Life does not stop, however. Brett's parents still have to work to provide for Brett as well as his other siblings. Bills still come in as they normally would even when life is turned upside down. Mr. and Mrs. Wright still have to pay out of pocket for what insurance does not cover. This means that sometimes, in order to cover all of these expenses, only one parent can attend treatment with Brett while the other has to attend work. It is a situation in which no parent wants to find themselves.
This gofundme is a way to show Brett and the Wright family that they are not in this alone. When the journey of life becomes tumultuous, having a strong support system to hold you up becomes vital. It sounds like Brett already has a wonderful support system within his own family but we want to show him that not only does his family and friends have his back, his community is fighting along side him too.
