Brendan & Wendy Ormsby

After watching the Look North episode on Brendan's story last night I was deeply moved by the struggles Brendan and his wife Wendy face on a daily basis.
I've read plenty of comments on social media regarding this story and a real interest in a GoFundMe page being set up. I searched on GoFundMe me and found nothing so I've taken the 'bull by the horns' so to speak and decided to set up one myself.
Brendan suffered a stroke in December 2013 and since that day his wife Wendy has become his round-the-clock carer. Brendan lost his independence due to the stroke leaving him unable to speak and with two forms of epilepsy.
Brendan also had cancer, a heart attack and suffered from mental health problems during this time.
As you can imagine this has put huge pressure on Wendy and Brendan's family.
For four hours a week Brendan has a carer, giving Wendy some much needed respite.
The stress and anxiety this has had on Wendy has led to her suffering from alopecia.
Any funds raise will be passed on to Brendan & Wendy directly for them to use as they wish or need.
Kindest regards to you all and thanks for reading.
