Hello,
If you ever had the pleasure to meet my Mom, Brenda, it would not be unusual to think that in your brief encounter, you will walk away thinking you've met the most pleasant person on the planet and she will end up being your lifelong friend. That's just how she is. Genuine. Loving. Caring. Welcoming. Those wonderful characteristics she possesses makes it even more difficult to grasp that for someone who constantly goes out of her way to extend a helping hand, who has never been sick, let alone taken any prescription medicine is now in the biggest fight of her life, Breast cancer.
We're raising money to help minimize the financial strain this has placed on my parents. Before being diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, a very aggressive form of breast cancer, Brenda was working as an admin assistant, looking after her mother that resides in a nursing home as well as taking care of my Dad that is also dealing with his own ongoing health issues. I recently moved back to Cleveland from Los Angeles to help my parents in any way that I can. Being their only child, I felt it was incumbent upon me to do whatever I can to be supportive and I realized it wasn't possible to do that 2500 miles away.
All monies raised will be used to cover Mom's medical and living expenses, as she recovers from surgery and the upcoming months of chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
Your support regardless of the amount is so appreciative because we know no one goes through life without a helping hand.
