Breckon's Brave Battle Against Leukemia

My dear friend, Becca Sedam and her husband Kyle, were recently given the news that all parents dread to hear. Their son, Breckon, at the age of 3.5, was diagnosed with Leukemia. On Thursday, May 28th, Breckon had a fever and low energy and was complaining of an ear ache, so naturally they attributed it to an ear infection. On June 1st, Kyle noticed some little red spots on Breckon's neck and arms. Thankfully, Becca is a NICU nurse and knew that these spots were not normal. After a quick urgent care visit, they were sent to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. Blood was drawn and labs confirmed their suspicions--Breckon was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Breckon has since had a port placed to ease with administration of medications/chemotherapy; he had a bone marrow biopsy and a lumbar puncture. The money donated will help to ease the financial impact of the diagnosis on the Sedam family. Since their other two children, including Breckon's twin, aren't able to attend his treatments, they will need to be watched in daycare more frequently than normal.
