Hi my name is Kevin Stucki and I am raising money to help further my education. I’ve been given a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend the Breatheology Instructor certification program in Denmark, hosted by Stig Severinsen.
My first introduction to breathing was my senior year in high school, the soon to retire, non-traditional teacher showed us how to breath using our diaphragm. It is the one thing from that class that I took with me and continued to use in my everyday life. I used it to relax, to help sleep and while surfing.
I had been doing construction for many years and wanted to get out of that industry into something I really wanted to do and had a passion for. Stand Up Paddling was just beginning and was an easy transition from my surfing background. I began teaching Stand Up Paddling and running kids SUP camps, while looking for ways to learn more about health and fitness. In 2009, I attended Kalama Kamp, where I meet Brody Welte who introduced me to the PaddleFit program. I obtained my Lifeguarding, CPR/First Aid certifications and soon began reading and studying Breatheology The Art of Conscious Breathing. I received my PaddleFit Coaching certifications, attended EXOS trainings and will soon become certified with FMS (Functional Movement Systems). It would be those certifications that would lead me down the path of understanding correct functional movement and what it takes to be a coach.
I have worked with clients from many walks of life during the last 8 years working in Coronado, California. I am seeing an incredible gap in providing for the health and well being of our military, veterans and those struggling with PTSD and anxiety disorders. With the addition of my Breatheology Instructor Certification I believe this will provide me with the additional training tools to be able to reach the military population and provide them with health and physical wellness activities in a calm and supportive aquatic environment.
My goal and dream is to continue serving my community by helping people to understand how to create a healthy and happy lifestyle. Thank you for reading my story. Any donations will help bring me closer to attaining this certification and my goal. I hope that you can share in my vision.
