My name is Breana Mejia, and I have always had a burning passion for the performing arts . Throughout the course of my life, I have performed and been apart of numerous music and theatre programs from elementary school to now!
I even had the honor to participate in Jodie Langel's Making it On Broadway Fall 2020 intensive in Boca Raton where I have learned and performed for current Broadway performers such as:
Leslie Kritzer (Beetlejuice the Musical)
Fergie Phillipe (Hamilton)
Samantha Pauly (SIX the musical)
Taylor Louderman (Mean Girls the Musical)
Jeremy Jordan! (Newsies) and more!
After getting my Associate's in Arts degree at Indian River State College in 2019, I have attended the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's Professional Training Program where I have trained with South Florida's finest educators, professional actors, and Broadway veterans.
Unfortunately, after the devastating outbreak of COVID-19, I was only able to finish out one year of the Professional Training Program. So I have decided to apply to my dream school, the University of Central Florida, for the Fall 2021 and I got accepted!
I would love more than anything to be able to further my education in the performing arts and learn to become more a professional, successful performer in the industry! I am a first generation college student and I have been trying to save up as much as I can throughout the year, and have been on a constant hunt for scholarships, but I would appreciate getting as much help as I can get! Any amount would be greatly appreciated for this will cover any of my needed expenses such as tuition, living expenses, books, dance attire, and more essentials!
