The Olathe North QuaranTEENS are high school students dedicated to providing free meals to our community's hospital staff and first responders during the COVID-19 outbreak. We strive to support both those who serve on the front lines of this crisis and the small restaurants that have been struggling most from this outbreak.
Here’s the problem:
In the Johnson County, Kansas community, our frontline responders have been courageously risking their health and well-being each day to keep the community safe. Currently, they are working extremely long shifts while struggling daily to secure child care for their children who have been sent home from school for the semester. These frontline responders are the real heroes in this crisis, and it is our opportunity and our responsibility to support them through small kindnesses as they protect both us and the most vulnerable members of our community. Please join us in supporting them in the fight against COVID-19.
Here’s how we are working to solve the problem:
The ON QuaranTEENS are working to raise at least $500 to provide free meals to our community's hospital staff and first responders during the COVID-19 outbreak. We strive to support both those who serve on the front lines of this crisis and the small restaurants that have been struggling most from this outbreak. The safety of our volunteers and frontline responders is the absolute top priority in this initiative: all food will be delivered directly by and from restaurants to minimize human contact.
How can you help?
We would greatly appreciate any donation to help our community’s heroes. Every penny makes a difference: a $5 donation could provide a free meal for a frontline responder. We more than understand that the COVID-19 outbreak has placed significant financial burdens on many families. If you are unable to donate, even sharing this fundraiser with your family and friends would be invaluable to our frontline responders.
