Breah’s Ride to Recovery

Donation protected
As many of you know Breah Ungaro had a very rare and traumatic run in with a rattlesnake that bit her on the ankle on the evening of Saturday July 23rd. Since then she has been hospitalized at Wesley Medical Center in the Surgical ICU unit. During her stay she has endured the most grueling pain in her life as the venom traveled up her leg. After receiving, five, yes FIVE anti venom treatments and no major decrease in swelling. It was decided to complete a fasciotomy on her lower leg muscle compartments. This procedure was intended to hopefully help release the pressure from the swelling, and help prevent permanent nerve and tissue damage. As of Tuesday evening, there has finally been some shown progress to recovery! The venom has quit spreading and the pain is able to be managed.

Breah’s ride to recovery has not quite started yet but we are hopeful it’ll come soon. There will be a long, hard ride for her. We all know Breah is one tough cowgirl but with your prayers and donations we know it will help keep her mind at ease so she can focus on her healing. This fund will help with any out of pocket medical expenses, fuel in their tanks to Dr appointments, and feed for her big four legged children!
