Braydans Autism Behaviour Therapy



I knew Braydan was different than other kids from a fairly young age. When he was 2.5 years old I started the process of looking into his little quirks. After 2 years of referrals and waiting, my little man was officially diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

He is receiving therapy that is helping him with his communication and basic skills like getting dressed and tying his shoes.  The changes in him since he started therapy are extraordinary.  He’s starting to speak in short sentences and after waiting almost 5 years, he finally said “I love you”.

Braydan is on the waitlist for government funding but the wait in Ontario is over a year long.  Additionally, the government has recently decided to revamp the structure of funding and the whole system is currently in limbo until they create and roll out a new program, which isn’t expected to take place until June 2018. Brain malleability greatly decreases with age so it is imperative that he receives therapy now.

The 20 hours per week of behavioural therapy costs $3600 a month. As a single mom I'm trying my best but I’ve exhausted my resources and it's at a point now that I need some help.
