Brave the Shave for Matty Nutter!

Hi,

My names Nathan Baxter and I play for South Elmsall United Services FC. This pre season our club was hit with some truly upsetting news that our Centre Back Mathew Nutter would be unable to be involved with the squad due to falling ill with Lymphoma.

Matty has over 130 appearances for the club at just 24 years of age. Notching up 4 goals over that spell Matty boasts a record of never receiving a Red Card in the entirety of his playing career which is testament to his caring and quiet character. Often there are cliches when people fall ill however in Matty’s case it really could not have happened to a nicer young Man.

Matty is currently undergoing chemotherapy which has led to side effects such as hair loss. We as a team don’t want Matty to have to endure this alone. As such a number of our first team players and club officials are set to brave the shave and aim to raise funds in order to get Matty some form of treat to help pass the time until he’s back with us on the pitch.

The shave will be happening on the 18th September 2021 at the United Services Club. Chapel Lane, South Elmsall, Pontefract. WF9 2SW. All are welcome to come along and show your support for Matty and the lads braving the shave.
