Cecil came to us after he was found staggering around, blind, in a big park. My great trapper spent an hour looking for him, and just as she was giving up, found him! He went right into hospital.
I've never seen a cat so dehydrated! And he had a horrible case of scabies (if you don't know, you don't want to know!) He got IV fluids and antibiotics for three days. I was glad to get him home!
He had lost so much weight that his eyelids had shrunk in and damaged his eyes badly: the lashes rubbing on his corneas had caused them both to rupture.
Plus, he was an emotional wreck. Did not even dare to growl or hiss, just stayed in the fetal position. The good thing about that is that I was able to bathe him and laboriously pick the scabies crud off of him.

There's good news, don't dispair...I'll be sending updates on his recovery!
