Global Alliance for Peace Charity Concert
Charity concert for Global Alliance for PeaceOn Wednesday Night, the 24th of June, the Senior School Jazz Ensemble Brass RaZoo are hosting a charity concert for Global Alliance for Peace inspired by our Round Square program here at NGS. Global Alliance for Peace is a not-for-profit incorporated association, campaigning for peace and for the rights of African refugees affected by war. This concert is raising money for the program called SHEFRA – Stay Home Emergency Food Relief for Africa. This will help women and their families from the Democratic Republic of Congo, but now living in Nairobi, Kenya that have been unable to work or train due to the COVID-19 crisis. These funds would be used for:
• Hygiene products
• To arrange for food delivery
• To pay rent, water and electricity bills for the most disadvantaged people
• To pay the school hall where training is being held.
It's aim is to keep families functioning for at least one month of isolation, while waiting to see what the future will bring to our global community. The concert will be via an NGS YouTube Livestream where our Brass RaZoo Ensemble will perform from 6-7pm.
