Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter
Hi everyone! Welcome to the GoFund Me page to support the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter. Due to Covid-19, the shelter has not been able to hold events such as Animal Camp, our Annual Pasta Dinner, etc. that really help us care for all our animals at the shelter. In order to raise funds to care for our animals, we have come up with a virtual walkathon to help raise money!
The staff at the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter will be looking for sponsors to donate money for each mile walked for the animals! On Friday, July 17th the staff will start walking starting in Branford, CT on the Shoreline Greenway Trail as far as our legs will go. When we are done with our walk, we will provide an update with how far we went so you can make your donation by July 31st.
Don't fret if you would like to participate and stay active- you are welcome to join in on the fun!! The week of July 12th-18th we welcome anyone to walk- wherever you want, whenever you want, for at least a mile- to raise money for the shelter. To participate, donate a minimum of $25 to enter and you will receive a T-shirt to walk in. Feel free to send any pictures you have from the walk (especially if you bring a pet!) via email so we can post them on Facebook! If you would like this option- please donate by July 5th in order to receive your t-shirt in time. If you choose this option, when you donate to walk, please indicate in the comment sections that you are walking on your own and what size t-shirt you would like. If you do not want to comment your t-shirt size, please email it with your full name to the organizer: Brittany Sullivan. Her email is [email redacted].
Anything helps, even if you do not have any money to donate sharing this page will be a big help! We will be accepting donations until July 31st.
