Brandon Kersjes' Senior Thesis Film

DREAMS is a short boxing film Written and Directed by Brandon Kersjes and Produced by Jazrielle Couran. Our film is supported by an amazing cast and crew that are focused on bringing this timeless story to the big screen. We will be shooting early-mid February and are hoping to secure funds for the film early. We will use the money to cover:
~Props and costumes
~Location Costs
~Meals and travel for cast and crew
~COVID19 Sanitation
We are looking for people who are willing to help and are able to donate any amount of money to our project. Down below we have a short synopsis, Director's Bio, and Statement.
Synopsis: Lance, a young boxer with great potential, but suffering from a past concussion, decides to go against the odds and pursue his dreams, even when the stakes may mean everything.
Director's Bio: Brandon Robert Kersjes is a writer/director from Walker, Michigan. Brandon studies film and video production at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. His emphasis within the program is on narrative filmmaking. Brandon has made such short films as A Pawn in A King’s Game (2019), Wash It Off (2019) and Radio Head (2020). He is currently in post-production on 2024 (2020), while also working to bring his next film, DREAMS, to life this coming semester. After graduation, Brandon plans to direct his first, but not his last, feature film. From there, he plans to continue his career as a feature film writer/director.
Director's Statement: Following one's dreams often turns into a catchphrase told to others, often kids, with no real intention or seriousness behind it. The premise however, shouldn’t be taken lightly as it gives people the largest source of meaning in life; Doing what they love. People’s hopes and dreams should be chased with the intent to achieve them, no matter how much life gets in the way. No cost is too high when compared to the journey of following one's dreams and the pleasure of fulfilling them. The American Dream is live and well; All we need to do is go and get it!
