Brandon Hunt Loses Family & More

Brandon Hunt and Kaitlin Vandiver were High School sweethearts. In March 2016, they made it official and tied the knot. They lived as a married couple, until 3 months ago, when baby Riley was born and changed their lives forever. Brandon, Kaitlin and Riley live in Port St. Lucie, FL.  As everyone knows, Hurricane Irma threatended their home and safety. On Saturday, September 9th, Kailtin's Mother and Stepfather,  picked up Kaitlin and Riley in FL and drove them to GA to get out of harms way. While spending time together in Downtown Woodstock, Kaitlin, Riley, David and a few other family members and close friends were crossing the street at Arnold Mill and Hubbard. It was then that Kailtin was struck by a Jeep while holding Riley in her arms. Riley (3 months old) perished almost immediately. Kaitlin was rushed to Kennestone Hospital where she was later pronounced brain dead. Brandon's whole life has been forever changed and will never be the same again. He lost his only daughter/child and the love of his life since High School. It is possible, he may also go back to FL to find destruction of his home or possibly no home at all. He has a lot of healing ahead of him. He has an incredible support system, survived by his large family, as well as his puppies and kitties. None of us can fathom the pain he and the rest of the family involved are feeling right now. But there is something we can do to try to ease his burdens, as much as we can.
