On her 36th birthday (October 21, 2014), Brandi was diagnosed with Stage 2, Triple Negative Breast Cancer . This subtype tends to be a more aggressive form of breast cancer occuring in only 10-20% of women diagnosed.
On November 18, 2014 she will begin 20 weeks of intense chemotherapy and we are positive that hope, faith, and love will carry her through the difficult road that lies ahead.
Your generous contribution, no matter how big or small, will help the Maige family pay for treatments and medications not covered by insurance, household expenses, and any other needs that may arise during the treatment and recovery process.
Our goal is not only to alleviate financial burdens, but also to provide inspiration and raise awareness of Triple Negative Breast Cancer. We'd also like to stress the importance of self breast exams , as it could save your life!
Let us lift Brandi up and show her that we too are ready to "fight like a girl!"

We leave you now with two bible verses, the first comes from Brandi's blog as she describes how it has brought her comfort through these trying times:
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
"My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness. So now I am glad to boast about my weakness, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That is why I take pleasure in my weakness and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and in troubles. For when I am weak then I am strong."
1 Peter 5:14
Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.
