Brandecas’ Road to Recovery

Donation protected
update: Well since surgery in February, we recently found out the diagnosis of this tumor. Unfortunately it wasn’t the best results and now we are in the midst of getting a series of test done and seeing an oncologist.  Brandecas is scheduled to have another surgery in May, and because of that and the consistent Dr visits weekly to Vanderbilt, I am trying to balance it all out. The bills definitely will not stop,  and taking care of everything else has become really hard on me and I ask if possible any donations would be greatly appreciated!

Just a few weeks ago, I had a healthy family, a healthy husband, and three healthy boys. I just celebrated the super bowl with my extended family and friends, and was about to start my new job. My husband continued to work hard and be a loving father, as we were preparing for our new journey; then, the unexpected happened. As we thought we would only be spending a short time in the emergency room, doctors was then preparing to airlift my husband to Vanderbilt for serious conditions we did not understand. For countless hours and days, I tried to make sense of it all and process what could possibly happen next for our boys and myself. While waiting on answers from the doctor, Brandecas was still bleeding internally, and they found a 14cm tumor between his liver and kidney that caused excruciating pain. But with praying warriors in our corner, he was able stay strong, stop the bleeding, and remain stable until surgery. And now, I’m happy to say, God was truly watching over us and has blessed my husband with great surgeons and doctors to help turn our horror story into a testimony. Even though, he is in a recover stage, it still may be several weeks or months before he can go back to work or even come home. As for me and my boys, we will have to continue to travel back and forth to stay by his side and try to live a normal life with him in the hospital. So family and friends, if I could use you, I could do so now. As you can tell, we need you all more now than ever. I ask that you -if you are willing- please spare any donations towards Brandecas’ needs and the expenses of our necessities as we continue to care for him and keep up the house he calls home. As his wife, it is my responsibility to pick up where he left off. I do not want him to rush his recovery worrying about bills, myself, the kids, or going back to work until he is completely better! It is amazing to see how much Brandecas is loved throughout his time of need. We are forever grateful for every single one of you. I can not express enough how appreciative we are for the love and support shown these last couple of days. I apologize in advance if I have not been able to reach out to you personally; but know that I have tried to read every message and return every call. Please continue to pray for us as we continue down this road to recover.

Again, Thank you all,

The Dodd’s.
