Brain Surgery for Barry

Donation protected
The past few years have been challenging for the Conner family – specifically for Barry, who has been dealing with serious health issues.  He has experienced two strokes in his brain in the last two and a half years that have left him out of work for several weeks along with debilitating effects:  excruciating headaches, problems with his vision, sensitivity to light and heat, unable to exercise or deal with stress.   The results of these strokes have severely impacted his day-to-day living.  His wife and three children have been a great source of strength, but they, too have suffered in watching and helping Barry endure these major challenges.  Doctors have told him that these brain strokes will not improve, but will only get worse with each one - any one of them could be fatal.  Brain surgery is an option, but VERY risky.  Barry has decided to have the surgery (in Omaha) for a chance at complete healing and resolution of these strokes.  After surgery, Barry will be unable to work for 6-8 weeks due to a lengthy recovery period.

Financially, the Conner’s are dealing with paying medical bills from the last two strokes.  They do have health insurance, but their deductible is very high which equates to A LOT of out-of-pocket expenses.  They recently moved their daughter off to college and we all know how expensive college can be!  Needless to say, this is a VERY challenging time both financially and emotionally for the Conner family.

More than raising money for the Conners, we would ask you to join us in praying for them.  We know that God is already holding them in the palm of His hand – because our God is a loving and all-powerful God.  Please pray for successful surgery and recovery for Barry and for his family as they love and support him through this stressful season of life.

Please help support this family by donating for their medical expenses, transportation, and possible lost wages.  ANY amount will help!  Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

“Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others.”  Philippians 2:4
