Help Brad Nesvold & Family After Brain Injury

Donation protected
On January 23rd, Bradley was playing with a friend when he was struck in the head with a golf club accidentally. He was taken to Randall's Children's Hospital, where a trauma team was waiting. They found that his skull was fractured, with one piece completely shattered, and his brain was bleeding. He went into surgery for 4 hours, where doctors put in a titanium plate and a titanium mesh where his skull was shattered. He is currently at home, but he has a long road of recovery ahead of him. Due to the trauma to his brain, he has experienced a loss of some cognitive skills, and will be needing speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy indefinitely to regain as much as possible. He is also experiencing a sensitivity to sounds and lights, and is expected to stay home under a watchful eye until he is ready to expend the energy needed to go to school and encounter things such as school bells and crowded halls.

Brad's family is a one-income family, as his father James is in hospice care. His mother, Lowanna, is currently needing time home from work to take Brad to many follow-up appointments in Portland and to see his various therapists.

Any help to their family is massively appreciated, as they are experiencing both a loss of income and the enormous medical bills associated with this type of traumatic injury. Please donate if you are able, so that Lowanna and James may breathe a little easier and put all their focus into their family and get Brad well on his way to recovery!
