Help Bradly Moore Fight Cancer

Donation protected
Hello friends! Our names are Melissa and Kristy. It is our honor to serve as close confidants and consigliere for Brad and LaKrisha Moore as well as the masterminds of this outreach program.

To sum up Bradly Waikiki Moore is to say he is a hilariously witty, creative and devoted jolly asshole of a friend. He is a kind soul whom animals adore; he can even call them forth like a Disney Princess…. just at a slightly lower octave. Brad is a loving husband to his wife LaKrisha - he tolerates all her wigs, costumes, and glitter like a super trooper. He is a wonderful father and supporter of 5 spawns ranging from ages 14-20 years old - daughter Amari, sons Kylan and Bryden, and bonus children Mila and Jackson.

Brad enjoys sipping his favorite drink (shitty whiskey & diet) while watching movies that he pauses constantly with family and friends. He loves playing music, reading Stephen King, and learning about almost anything. He’s a hard worker and a loyal friend.

In 2014, Brad had a strange mole on his neck that turned out to be melanoma, but it was removed and had not spread.

In July 2022, Brad noticed a lump on his throat in the same area as the previous melanoma. His GP, Dermatologist, and surgeon all assumed it was a fatty deposit but given the location, wanted it removed. In October, Brad underwent what was supposed to be a 25-minute removal procedure, but turned into 2.5 hours of his surgeon trying to remove a mass of melanoma 2cm by 5cm under the fatty deposit. A few other nodules were removed as well but given the location, not all the melanoma could be removed.

Brad immediately began immunotherapy with high hopes of it working to shrink and reduce the melanoma left behind.

In late January 2023, his PET scan was redone. Unfortunately, two new spots have developed and a few of the nodules left behind have grown. He is dealing with an aggressive metastatic Melanoma with a mutated version of the gene BRAF. (We did look that up to be sure it wasn’t BARF) So the decision was made to abandon immunotherapy treatments and begin an aggressive form of chemo that requires 5 pills daily.

As most of us know, cancer treatments can be as challenging as the cancer is life-threatening. Brad will experience various side effects associated with treatment - including nausea, extreme fatigue, and a grocery list of other physical issues that are both immediate and long-term.

Cancer treatment isn't only challenging for the patient, it's expensive. Many associative costs are not covered by insurance or even anticipated. The types of chemo he will currently be taking are $12-13k a month. There will be other medications, expensive scans, and many, many, many x infinity doctor appointments.

Brad is the main source of income for his family and these upcoming uncertainties may significantly impact his workdays because of his treatment, putting a heavy financial burden on the family.

Any donation to this fundraiser is needed and greatly appreciated. The gift of lessening worry about bills will help the family get through treatment and recovery with a little less stress.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.

PS - Fuck cancer.
